Classic car fans attending the Maldon Motor Show were most likely already familiar with the original Viva, but may not have known quite so much about the new one.
However. after attending the show they could consider themselves well-versed thanks to Quest Motors and its Parts Advisor John Saunders. who put both an original Viva and a new VIVA on display.
The Retailer, one of the oldest in the country dating back to 1924, provided the new VIVA while John brought his very own 1970 Viva HB 1600SL. a particularly rare model, as well as his 1967 HB De-Luxe in eclipse blue. John said: "We were lucky to get one of the first new VIVAs. which was displayed on the company stand right in front of the main music stage".
"Martin Wise. our Sales Manager, asked if my wife Elaine and I would mind bringing both our classic Vivas to display alongside the new one. which we were of course more than happy to do".
"Despite the morning being somewhat damp. we had a hot. sunny afternoon and it was great to see so many people stopping by the display to find out a bit more about how the Viva has evolved".
